JP Media makes three key hires

Adelaide communications, digital and creative agency JP Media has kicked off 2022 with notable new senior hires and a series of business wins.

JP Media has bolstered its team with the appointments of former Sunday Mail editor and corporate communications specialist Megan Lloyd and former South Australian Tourism Commission and SWEAT public relations manager Alison Hassel. Rounding out the new hires is marketing and communications consultant Emmanuel Cavaleri.

Hassel will head the agency’s rapidly growing PR and Communications team, while Lloyd’s appointment marks the opening of a new Corporate Communications division for the
business.

After a lengthy media career which included a decade as an editor at News Corporation, Lloyd transitioned into corporate and external affairs and has extensive experience representing the interests of organisations in diverse industries including defence company ASC, electricity transmission network operator ElectraNet, as well as manufacturing, infrastructure, local government and not-for-profit sectors. She co-managed internal and external communications for Holden including the closure of the Adelaide Elizabeth plant and the end of manufacturing in October 2017, work that was recognised with both the PRIA Golden Target and Mumbrella In-house PR Team of the Year awards in 2018.

Lloyd will leverage her experience in corporate communications to work across JP Media’s clients including the Adelaide Central Market expansion, Charter Hall, St Andrew’s Hospital, Department for Trade and Investment and Nokia. Alison Hassel joins the team as Head of PR and Communications. A highly experienced communications practitioner, Hassel joins the agency after a diverse career including senior roles at Zoos SA, South Australian Tourism Commission and SWEAT, where she led major integrated campaign activity with globally recognised brands such as MasterChef Australia, Lonely Planet and the World’s 50 Best Restaurants At the digital fitness app SWEAT, Hassel was responsible for managing PR for global fitness sensation Kayla Itsines.

Hassel will be responsible for leading iconic brands and institutions including the Adelaide Fringe, Adelaide Central Markets Authority, Mighty Kingdom, Adelaide Economic Development Authority (AEDA) and ECH.

Emmanuel Cavaleri

Cavaleri joins the PR and Communication team having built a strong resume working within agencies across Adelaide. His mix of both traditional and digital communication expertise gained from working with clients including South Australian Tourism Commission, Robern Menz and San Remo will be fully utilised across the JP Media client roster.
