Junior Masterchef returns with just over half of last year’s debut audience
Junior Masterchef returned on Ten last night with 1.129 million, just over half of its debut audience last year.
The cooking competition ranked fifth for the night, according to preliminary five-city metro ratings from OzTam, and was Ten’s highest rating show.
It was down more than one million from last year’s debut audience for the show which pulled in 2.202 million.
It won its 7:30 slot beating Wild Boys on Seven which pulled in a low 1.103 million, down from 1.225 million last week and 60 Minutes on Nine with 1.113 million.
Underbelly: Razor won the night with 1.397 million, down from 1.408 million last week, leading Nine to a win for Sunday night with 22.9% share.
Nine’s heavily promoted crime drama Person Of Interest, created by JJ Abrams, followed Underbelly at 9:40 and received 791,000.
The Formula One World Championships at 9pm on Ten’s digital multi-channel One gave the station a share of 5.1%, ahead of SBS1’s 3.8%.
