Justine Sywak resurfaces at The Shannon Company

The Shannon Company has appointed Justine Sywak as director of PR, stakeholder and government relations, Mumbrella can reveal.

The appointment comes two months after Sywak stepped down from her role as Melbourne general manager of Dentsu Creative’s Cox Inall, after the firm was absorbed in the holding company’s creative restructure last year.

Sywak joins the agency with more than 20 years of experience, having spent the last six years at Cox Inall, developing the PR and behavioural change agency’s offering.

Her new role will encompass PR and stakeholder engagement campaigns for the behaviour change agency’s clients in government, corporate and NFP sectors.

“All PR campaigns should aim to make a difference however there are not many that draw upon theoretical and practical behaviour change,” Sywak told Mumbrella. “If our industry is to evolve, it should aim to design and implement interventions that maximise effectiveness.

“I feel incredibly fortunate and, with our mutual passion to do good and affect change, that my new role provides a natural synergy to explore the principles of change and techniques through collaboration to solve real life problems for our clients.”

Managing director, Michael Daddo, said: “With her expertise in behavioural change insights and collaboration on some of the biggest programs, Justine’s media, political and stakeholder engagement background is a welcome addition to the team, working with our clients to create strategies that inspire change for good.”
