Fleet: Moving on

Karl Fleet, executive creative director of Clemenger BBDO Adelaide, has left the agency after little more than a year.

Fleet joined in May 2012 at a time when local agencies were gearing up for the South Australia Tourism Commission pitch. KWP’s contract was then extended by a year and last month KWP won a further five years.

According to today’s announcement from Clems, Fleet has returned to Auckland. He previously worked at The Campaign Palace, Colenso BBDO and Publicis Mojo Auckland.

The agency has promoted Matt O’Grady to the post of creative director.

Clemenger BBDO Adelaide MD Bryce Coombe said: “Matt has been with the agency for over ten years and he has been responsible for much of our best work in that time. He is an incredible creative talent, which is obviously an important prerequisite for the role, but more than that, Matt is also the right person to lead us in the digital era.”

O’Grady said: “Obviously I want to help the agency do the best creative work possible but I’m also looking forward to getting more involved with our clients and having a better understanding of their problems and ways in which we can make meaningful contributions to their businesses.”

O’Grady’s creative partner Ollie Prenton has been promoted to senior creative.
