Kellogg’s Twitter PR contest is a cereal thriller (sorry)
If Kellogg’s decision to use Twitter to put an agency on its PR pitch list was intended to highlight the social media savvy agencies, it’s been working.
Since the challenge was issued yesterday, the #kelloggspr hashtag has been trending nicely.
For me, an early leader is Liquid Ideas, which has created a mini meme with its “Brekkie without Kellogg’s…” contest.
So far suggestions include Brekkie without Kellogg’s is like…
Really nice work by a whole bunch of agencies in replying over the last 24hrs. I’m with you on Liquid Ideas though. They’ve done a cracking job of demonstrating engagement and actual action through a really simple request. Gareth Lucy must be loving life right now too.

There’s also some absolute rubbish attempts on there as well..
I thought the Liquid Ideas and Horizon Comms posts were the strongest by a long way.
Spare a thought for the PPR Perth early risers who dragged out the cereal boxes first thing to keep in touch with our eastern states colleagues for the #PPRbreakfastchallenge
No mention of @horizoncomms? I definitely thought it was one of the best entries so far!
The response has been unbelievable. There are clearly a lot of talented and creative PR professionals around. It has been really great to see and we’re extremely grateful and flattered by the level of effort that people have put in. Thanks again.
Liquid Ideas for sure! Simple but effective.
