For anyone who feels too excited to wait until tonight to see Westpac’s new commercial, Dr Mumbo is grateful to Mumbrella contributor “marklen”.
Marklen took the trouble to create a mash-up of marketing boss Andrew Seagar’s gleaming-headed explanation of the marekting strategy with a keyboard-playing cat, to create a result that is both childish and excellent:
And if you do want to see the bank’s ad, Westpac has now managed to get it online here (at the time of writing, you’ll need to watch the Flash version on their web site though, as the Windows version offers just a green screen, albeit with sound.)
Happily the media strategy behind the launch appears to be slightly more advanced that Westpac’s attempts at online PR. You can read about it on the B&T Today PDF .
