Kia challenges viewers to save famous World Cup goals

Kia has followed up its Mumbrella Award-winning Australian Open challenge for viewers to return the world’s fastest serve with a similar interactive campaign running on SBS throughout the FIFA World Cup.

Viewers are given opportunities “to re-write the global sport’s history – by using their smartphones to save some of the World Cup’s most famous goals”.

Using an app, designed by Mnet, fans can attempt to save goals and build their points in a national competition for a chance to win a Kia Pro_cee’d G.

Mnet CEO Travis Johnson said, “The seven goals in the series were digitally re-created from a goal keeper’s perspective to bring a highly realistic view of the ball strikes and potential goal-saving action.”

Former Socceroo David Zdrilic fronts the ads which are also hosted on the Kia website.

Kia also worked with Initiative Media and Innocean Worldwide on the activation.
