Days after the Hit Network announced Carrie Bickmore and comedian Tommy Little as the new hosts for the afternoon segment, Kiis has matched its competition by returning Yumi Stynes to radio alongside weather presenter Rebecca Judd.

Stynes has a long history in radio after being axed from Mix FM’s national afternoon radio show in 2012, and returning a year later as Sydney’s first all-female FM breakfast team with co-host Sami Lukis.

Stynes said: “I have four kids and a rock n roll heart and, like so many other parents, I’m knee-deep in lunches, homework and schoolyard politics. I still love to laugh though, and feel so privileged to be able to share the humour, the pain and humanity of life on The 3PM Pick Up. I know the audience because I am literally the woman we’re talking to.”

Judd added: “I’m so excited about joining the girl gang on The 3PM Pick Up. This will be my first foray into radio, I haven’t done anything like this before! I have the pleasure of being able to speak to so many different women through Rebecca Judd Loves so it’s going to be great to be able to engage with them alongside Monty and Yumi on so many topics each week.”

The 3PM Pick Up was previously fronted by Meshel [Laurie] & Monty [Dimond]. Dimond will continue to host the show and will be joined by co-host Judd every Monday and Steyns every Tuesday and Friday.

Meanwhile, Laurie will co-host Kiis’ 101.1 breakfast show in Melbourne alongside Matt Tilley.

The 3pm pick up will air from 3-4pm weekdays in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide.
