The iconic pink balls retail for $29.99, with $5 from each ball sold going to the McGrath Foundation to help place McGrath Breast Care Nurses in communities across Australia.

Petra Buchanan, CEO of the McGrath Foundation, welcomed the partnership.

“We are thrilled to feature on the Kookaburra pink cricket ball. As the first day-night ‘pink ball’ Test of the season gets underway in Adelaide, this is a fantastic opportunity to not only highlight the important relationship the McGrath Foundation has with cricket and Kookaburra, but for fans to purchase their own limited edition pink ball, knowing they’re helping families with breast cancer get crucial support from a specialist breast care nurse.”

Kookaburra ambassador and Australian batsman Usman Khawaja says the partnership brings two icons together.

“When you think of pink in cricket, you think of the McGrath Foundation, the work they do around the country and their connection to the game through Glenn and Jane. So it’s only fitting that with the ball going pink for the next two Tests Kookaburra will also help support the McGrath Foundation with this special edition ball. “

“The pink ball has created so much interest so I urge cricketers of all ages to head to Rebel and check it out for themselves, and at the same time know that they’ll be supporting the placement of breast care nurses around Australia. “

The partnership will also see the Crush range of bats released later in December with a donation going to the McGrath Foundation, while Kookaburra will also be involved in the McGrath Foundation’s community cricket campaign, Pink Stumps Day.
