Kyle Sandilands butt of Mix video joke, and on top of Zoo magazine’s most hated list
Poor old Kyle Sandilands. As we count down the hours until his glorious return to Sydney’s airwaves, it seems that everyone’s still being mean to him.
Not only has ACP’s Zoo magazine today named him as Australia’s most hated person, but Mix’s new duo Mike Etheridge and Carmela Contarino make him the butt of a (cheap) gag at his expense on YouTube.
The YouTube video – which Australian Radio Network’s Mix implausibly claims was for internal use only – features a hairy bloke in a Kyle Sandilands mask doing a ranty bogan impression, with a voiceover inviting readers to “wake up and feel good again” by listening to Mix instead.
Meanwhile, Zoo magazine’s annual list of the 50 most hated people is published today. No doubt it’s as statistically valid as the Mix video ending up on YouTube was accidental.
For what’s it’s worth, Sandilands is number one on Zoo’s “50 people we hate” list, while co-presenter Jackie O is at number two. Meanwhile, the mother of the 14-year-old girl in the lie detector test whose on air claim to have been raped triggered the cavalcade of hate against Kyle & Jackie O only made number 26 on the list.
Poor old Dean Robbins, the punter who came up with the Vegemite iSnack 2.0 name, is at number 50.
