Kylee Daniel to exit as CMO of Visit Sunshine Coast

Visit Sunshine Coast is on the hunt for a new chief marketing officer (CMO), with Kylee Daniel to depart at the end of the year after two years in the role.

Daniel will continue to work on a range of major projects before she finishes in the role, including preparing a new website.

Daniel leaves the role at the end of the year

“Kylee has made a significant impact to our organisation and the region over the last two years. She has helped transform the organisation’s marketing, and her professionalism and innovation has delivered substantial results for the region and its tourism operators in what is a highly competitive environment,” said Visit Sunshine Coast chair David Ryan.

“We thank her for her commitment and wish her all the best for her future career. We will be seeking a replacement for the head of marketing role, with details to be finalised in the next month.”

Daniel added that she will continue to grow her career in the tourism and events industry.

“When I started as head of marketing two years ago, my goals were to develop one of the best marketing teams on the Sunshine Coast, create and implement sound domestic and international marketing strategies that delivered upward results and growth for the region’s tourism industry and to leave at least one legacy project for the region, which I have with Australia’s newest food festival, The Curated Plate,” Daniel said.

“I feel I am leaving the marketing at VSC in a strong position. The team is highly skilled and competent, there are clear strategies in place and we have trialled and tested a number of marketing initiatives with some great learnings, so I am confident the team will continue to evolve, innovate and deliver positive results.”
