Lego appoints One Green Bean

Lego, the toy brand, has appointed One Green Bean to handle its publicity, with work to include PR, social media, ambient and experiential activity.  

Lego, MumbrellaThe agency, which won the account following a pitch, will work in conjunction with Lego’s media agency, Universal McCann.

Caroline Squire, Lego regional marketing manager, ANZ, said: “Our focus for 2010 will be to maintain and cement our brand positioning, alongside growing construction as a play experience for children.

“A strategic partner with expertise in publicity, and conversation generation, is essential for a brand where word of mouth recommendation is of paramount importance to purchasing behaviour.”

One Green Bean’s other clients in the kids and entertainment sectors include Cartoon Network and Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment.

Its other clients include Unilever, Kimberly-Clark, Ferrero, KFC and Virgin Mobile.

Zing was the previous incumbent on the Lego account.
