Lego Masters finale clicks in entertainment for Nine, but Seven wins the night

The grand finale of Lego Masters on Nine topped metro entertainment programming on Monday night. However, Seven Network won the night.

598,000 metro viewers tuned in to watch the winner announcement on Lego Masters last night, while the episode on average brought in 576,000 metro viewers.

The winner announcement also topped all three key advertising demos.

This was another dip compared to last year’s finale figures, where 702,000 metro viewers watched the winner announcement and 669,000 metro viewers on average watched the finale.

The Chase Australia on Seven came in second in entertainment with 597,000 metro viewers, while The Coronation Concert aired on the network brought in 584,000 metro viewers.

Meanwhile, the second night of MasterChef Australia on Ten brought in 557,000 metro viewers, a dip on the premiere.

The #1 show on Monday night, however, was Seven News with 1.04 million metro viewers. Nine News aired to 839,000 metro viewers.

As mentioned, Seven Network won the night with a 29.6% share, followed by Nine Network with 28.5%, Ten with 17.5% and ABC with 17%.

Seven had both the top-rated primary channel (22.3%) and multichannel, which was 7Two with 3.4%.

In the latest Daily Consolidated 7 Total TV report for 1 May, Seven News last Sunday was the #1 program with 1.69 million metro viewers with a 3% uplift, and 48,000 on national BVOD.

The program with the biggest uplift of 58% was 9-1-1: Lone Star on Seven with 329,000 Total TV viewers and 30,000 on national BVOD.
