LEGO names new head of marketing ANZ

The LEGO Group has today announced a new ANZ head of marketing, replacing Angie Tutt who departed at the end of last year.

Justine McKenny will take on the new role from March 1, reporting to Troy Taylor, VP GM for Australia and New Zealand.

McKenny has been with the LEGO Group for 15 years, having joined in 2009 as a marketing assistant. During her time, she has been responsible for the development and execution for some of the biggest award-winning brand campaigns across the ANZ market.

In 2021, she was promoted to brand director ANZ, where she was the lead architect in LEGO’s redesign and differentiation strategy.

“We are so pleased to promote a home-grown talent in Justine to our head of marketing role for Australia & New
Zealand,” Taylor said of the appointment.

“Australia is such an important market for the LEGO Group and we felt that Justine’s passion and vision for the LEGO brand, along with her energy and ideas around people development and leadership stood out through the recruitment process.

“Justine also has a solid track record of delivering results, and has managed and brought to life pretty much our entire theme portfolio over her journey, making her the ideal candidate to take our marketing efforts to the next level in the years ahead.”

Taylor is set to speak at Mumbrella360 in May alongside Initiative’s chief strategist, Chris Colter, to share strategies that companies can use to make the most of opportunities and to discuss how and why risk is a necessary evil.
