Leo Burnett Sydney launches Samsung Galaxy S8’s global push

Leo Burnett Sydney is behind a new global ad featuring Samsung’s new Galaxy S8 ‘breaking out’ of its original screen size

The work for Samsung’s newest mobile features scenarios including a girl fighting in a boxing ring, a young boy playing drums and children playing soccer on the streets, with the Galaxy screen becoming larger with each impact.

Samsung’s Galaxy S8 ad focuses on the mobile’s new larger ‘infinity’ screen, which has not been featured on previous Galaxy models.

In a Linkedin post, Leo Burnett Sydney’s CEO Peter Bosilkovski wrote: “Very proud of my Leo’s Sydney team – Adrian, Nigel, Vince, Grant, Bec, Graham, Em – for beating the odds to create the latest global Samsung blockbuster commercial – unbox your phone.

“It’s not everyday you get to create a global commercial from Sydney, Australia. The commercial helped launch the Samsung Galaxy S8 in New York last week.”

Leo Burnett’s clients include Bundaberg Rum, Unibet, Caltex, Energy Australia and McDonald’s.
