Leo Burnett, Us Sydney, Reborn make finals of inter-agency ping-pong comp

The first heat of Ping-Pong By Noise, the inter-agency table tennis tournament, has seen Leo Burnett, Us Sydney, Reborn make it through to the final round, to be held on June 2.

The three agencies saw off competition in a line-up that included 303, DDB, Clemenger BBDO, Sapient Nitro, The White Agency, Jungleboys, JWT, Three Drunk Monkeys and M&C Saatchi, which produced the promotional video for the tournament.

One of the finalists so far, Nigel Clark a creative at Us Sydney, said: “Most creatives spend half their careers on a pong table so the competition was fierce. But luckily Marc and Carlos dug deep, played a game of two halves, gave it 110%, took it one game at a time and other clichés too numerous to mention. Overall, ping pong was the winner on the day…but mostly we were.”

The second heat will be held on Thursday 26 May, when Profero, Holler, MF, Naked, Ogilvy, Suede, MercerBell, The Works, Soap Creative, Host, Euro RSCG, Whybin\TBWA, Saatchi & Saatchi and Mumbrella will battle it out for a place in the final.
