Leo Burnett’s Stuart Capel joins Blue 449 to lead 20th Century Fox account

Blue 449 has hired Leo Burnett’s media director Stuart Capel as client partner across the 20th Century Fox business, which the agency won from Publicis Media stablemate Zenith in February.

Capel was working across the Diageo account at Leos and was previously business director at Initiative leading the Hyundai Motor Company Australia account.

John Preston, CEO of Blue 449, said Capel’s appointment completed the agency’s 20th Century Fox transition process.

“The Fox transition has been a major process and getting the leadership on the business right was paramount to us so we are delighted to welcome Stuart into the Blue 449 family and excited for what his leadership skills will deliver into the future,” he said.

A statement from the agency said it had closed its doors to new business over the past few months so it could “focus on delivering a smooth transition for all of the new clients in the first half of this year”.

In addition to 20th Century Fox, Blue 449 has picked up a number of accounts since it rebranded from Match Media including Royal Caribbean Cruises in JanuarySouthern Cross Travel Insurance in February and the National Breast Cancer Foundation in March.
