LinkedIn and frank body launch campaign to empower female jobseekers

LinkedIn has partnered with Australian skincare brand frank body to help young female job seekers kick-start their careers with confidence.

The partnership comes off the back of LinkedIn data that reveals women lack confidence in the workplace when looking for a new job, with men 10% more confident in this area.

To launch the campaign, the duo have worked with seven female leaders in a content series titled Off(ice) Script, providing ‘frank’ advice for the next generation of professionals.

The experts include frank body and Willow and Blake co-founder Bree Johnson; Haus of Dizzy founder and Wiradjuri woman Kristy Dickinson; LinkedIn Australia career expert Cayla Dengate; head of talent acquisition at MECCA Brands and LinkedIn talent solutions customer Jo Barr; head of business development at Shameless Media Rhiannon Joyce personal branding expert Rosie Chong; and co-founder of @TeamTANDA App Taz Zammit.

Dengate said: “My best tip for female graduates entering the workforce is to use all the superpowers that make you a great friend – forming connections, keeping in touch, asking great questions – and applying that to networking.”

The campaign has launched across YouTube, LinkedIn, TikTok, Instagram and online channels.

Johnson added: “When a door closes, look for a window. Everyone’s path will be different, and it might feel like you have to go backwards to go forward. If you don’t feel like you fit anywhere, maybe you need to build the business you want to work in.”

Through this campaign, LinkedIn and frank body hope to inspire young women to understand their worth in the workplace.

Barr encouraged graduate jobseekers to be curious, saying, “Entry-level roles can lead into your dream job if you utilise the opportunity. Don’t fixate on a narrow role. Be as open-minded as you can, as you may learn so much from a role you may not have considered. It may open your eyes to even more career options.”
