The TV awards show helped Nine to a 38.2% ratings share for Sunday, well ahead of Seven’s 24.4% and Ten’s 21.7%. The ABC took 11.7% and SBS 4%, according to preliminary OzTam TV ratings.

Who wouldn’t watch a slow-mo train wreck, with bonus live punditry (tweets) from viewers and those there (Wil Anderson) for those in the know.
This was a unique event in that the tweets were plenty, over-taking the show in comedy value and insight.
I’m certain the tweetiness isn’t what propelled it to the top, so much as it’s Oscars-for-Bogans glitz, hence arrivals beating the main event.

I wasn’t at all surprised to see the reception Gretel Killeen received but would have thought that the ‘comedian’ crowd might have displayed a little loyalty to one of their own, (being in the same profession and all), but no, typical ‘pack’ mentality from some of the most “unfunny” comedians I have ever seen (Chaser). These people think that the only kind of humor there is , is that which makes a fool of someone else…..Well Chasers I hope the Italians and the Vatican give you a great big kick up the arse for your latest stunt cos maybe ….(just maybe) it will help you grow a collective brain and assist in learning a little respect and just what is ‘funny’ and what is not.
