L’Oréal Paris appoints local content and creative agency

L’Oréal Paris has appointed Cyclone Creative as its content production agency of record in Australia and New Zealand, following an extensive tender process. The agency’s first piece of work for the beauty brand has launched this week, featuring Matilda star Mary Fowler.

Fowler has signed on as L’Oréal Paris’ first ever Australian female athlete brand ambassador, as part of the brand’s efforts in its women’s empowerment initiatives and campaigns across the ANZ market.

“Confidence  to me is about believing in yourself. It’s not thinking that you have to be perfect, but it’s accepting that there’s beauty in just being you,” she said. “That’s what makes me me, and I’m just gonna show up that way.”

L’Oréal has engaged Cyclone Creative to create more localised campaigns and content, which feature the likes of Kendall Jenner, Eva Longoria and Kate Winslet, to appeal more to Australian and New Zealand audiences.

The agency will be responsible for content production and local storytelling, supporting the local L’Oréal Paris team.

“After an extensive pitch process, we’re thrilled to announce Cyclone Creative as our new content production partner,” says Yoshiko Nadia Adelina, marketing director at L’Oréal Paris.

“Their approach to creating meaningful, branded moments through creativity, culture and content aligns perfectly with our promise to empower individuals and fuel confidence through beauty.”

Cyclone Creative’s managing partner, Sam Hooper, said: “We’re excited to welcome such an iconic global brand like L’Oréal Paris to the Cyclone Creative family.

“In so many ways they have pioneered the beauty and skincare industry and have been at the forefront of innovation, disruption and progress. We feel privileged to continue telling that story through a local lens.”

Cyclone Creative will bring local context to L’Oréal Paris’ global brand platform, ‘Because You’re Worth It’, with work excepted in the coming months.
