Lovatts Media relaunches vegan magazine Nourish following near-closure

Independent publisher Lovatts Media has unveiled its relaunched edition of vegan lifestyle magazine Nourish months after it stepped in to save the title from closure.

New-look Nourish: ‘Consumers want ethically-sourced products and are willing to pay for them’

The 120-page magazine, which focuses on plant-based food and ethical lifestyles, will now be printed every six weeks rather than its former bi-monthly circulation.

The relaunch comes three months after Lovatts Media acquired the magazine following its former owner Blitz Publications’ fall into liquidation.

Edited by Danae Dimitropoulou, who oversaw a raft of lifestyle titles at Blitz Publications, the magazine will cover health and wellbeing, mindfulness, cruelty-free fashion and beauty, plus sustainability and travel.

Revenue will come from advertising across the print issues, plus Nourish’s digital and social media platforms, events and activations, Lovatts Media said in a press statement. The magazine’s cover price will be $12.95 for an individual issue or AU$92 for a year-long subscription.

“There is a new audience emerging, and they are hungry for lifestyle content that reflects their evolving values,” said Rachael Northey, Lovatts Media CEO.

“They are well-informed consumers who appreciate great design and aesthetics and aspire to simple luxury. They want ethically-sourced products and are willing to pay for them.

“Our vision for nourish is a magazine that will showcase the rich and varied world emerging as designers, restaurateurs, manufacturers, retail stores, and even fast-food chains worldwide join the vegan movement. We want to educate our readers about plant-based lifestyle and health, and support them in their journey, whether they are long-term vegans or just exploring the possibilities.”

Lovatts already has a number of health and wellbeing titles, which include mindfulness titles Audrey Daybook, Teen Breathe and Breathe, which was launched early last year.
