The Loved Ones moves to September
Madman Entertainment has postponed the release of Sean Byrne’s The Loved Ones; it is expected to be in cinemas on September 23.
The Loved Ones is currently screening at the Sydney Film Festival.
Since its premiere at last year’s Melbourne Film Festival, the horror story has received positive reviews wherever it screens.
The film tells the story of a guilt-ridden teenager who, on the night of his school formal, finds himself captured by a girl and her father, who have pretty bad intentions with him. It stars Xavier Samuel, Robin McLeavy and John Brumpton.
It was produced by Omnilab Media’s Ambience Entertainment, with support from the MIFF Premiere Fund, Film Victoria and Screen Australia.
