Wombwell will lead a team of 17 and managing clients including 20th Century Fox, TAL Insurance, AustralianSuper, NRMA, HCF and Menulog.

Duncan Parfitt, managing director of Blue 449, said: “We have taken our time to find the perfect combination of cultural fit and technical excellence for the growing investment team and we’re proud to welcome Lucie to Blue 449.

“She has a proven track record in delivering excellent trading outcomes for clients and this, combined with strong leadership capabilities, makes her a perfect choice to lead the investment team of the future, and help us create work that works.”

Wombwell added: “Blue 449’s open source approach means it is perfectly placed to not only tackle the challenges created by such a rapidly changing media landscape, but more importantly to acknowledge and embrace the opportunities that this changing environment presents for clients and their businesses.
