MAFS’ 773,000 metro viewers tops Gogglebox’s 517,000
Married at First Sight dipped to 773,000 metro viewers last night, ending a first week of episodes that drew capital city audiences of 964,000, 992,000, and 891,000 respectively.
But MAFS still topped the 16-39s, 18-49s, and 25-54s advertising demographics, and Nine easily won the night with a 30.2% channel share.
Seven ran three episodes of Home and Away from 7pm to 8:30pm, and its third episode of Wife Swap at 8:30pm, which did not feature in the top 20 metro shows. The network ended with a 24.8% share, ahead of Ten’s 19% and the ABC’s 17.7%.
Up against Wife Swap, the second episode of Gogglebox’s newest season on Ten had 517,000 metro viewers, while Bondi Rescue at 7:30pm had 259,000 and Territory Cops at 8pm 270,000.
News programming took out the top four spots of the night ahead of MAFS, with the 6:30pm slots performing better than those at 6pm: Seven News at 6:30pm (864,000), Seven News (858,000), Nine News at 6:30pm (837,000) and Nine News (828,000).
Two episodes of Murdoch Mysteries helped 7TWO reclaim the top multi-channel top from 10Bold, with a 3.6% share versus 3.2%.
