Magnum & Co becomes HomeAway’s communications agency of record

HomeAway – the accomodation website formerly known as Stayz locally and Bookabach in New Zealand – has appointed Magnum & Co as its PR agency of record.

HomeAway pitched its PR account in October last year putting incumbent agency Adhesive PR on notice.

Holiday rental company Stayz has rebranded to HomeAway and appointed Magnum & Co as its PR agency

Magnum & Co will handle HomeAway’s influencer, earned media, content, social and digital strategy.

The agency will also assist the holiday house rental company with its rebrand from Stayz to HomeAway, which was implemented to better align the brand with the global Austin-based company.

Simone McDermid, PR and communications manager at HomeAway, said in a statement: “We look forward to them being our partners as we go through our brand transition here in Australia and in New Zealand.

“We couldn’t think of a more exciting time to be part of the HomeAway family as holiday rentals in Australia and New Zealand continue to grow in popularity and our HomeAway website giving more choice for travellers to choose the perfect holiday home that suits their needs.”

Katie Barclay, managing partner at Magnum & Co, added: “Winning this work with HomeAway speaks volumes for the creativity and drive of the Magnum team and recognises our ability to deliver larger brand campaigns.”

Magnum & Co’s clients include Converse, Pizza Hut, Australia Post, Australian Mangoes and GoDaddy.
