Magnum & Co make 5 new senior & creative hires
Under new leadership, independent brand communications agency, Magnum & Co, has made five new hires as it invests in the future of the agency.
The announcement:
Client services director, Sophie Collins joins from Apparent, senior creative, Brendan McGovern from Lavender, account director, Sophie Morris from Common Ventures, senior content specialist, Kylie McDowell from Vinyl Factory, and publishing and designer, Kate Morgan from Howorth.
With more than half of Magnum & Co’s client remit sitting outside earned media, the new hires (four of which are newly created positions) will further build the agency’s capabilities in the creative and production space. Over the past 18 months, Magnum has produced and directed content for the likes of RSPCA NSW’s Stories Behind the Scars mini-doco series, Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy video game and created TVCs for Resmed and Homeloans.com.au.
Magnum & Co director, Katie Barclay, said: “As we get more and more diverse work in the creative space, we’re excited to bring on some fresh talent to build out our team. We have big plans for the agency over the next year and bringing on awesome talent like this will help us achieve these.
“Our remit with Converse globally and locally continues to grow, so we’ve invested in a bigger team that deeply understands the culture of the brand and how best to engage and connect with the thousands of grassroots creatives we interact with on a daily basis.”
The agency’s work with Converse sees them manage the brand’s All Stars program – an idea developed by Magnum that involves the direction and management of the program across 33 different countries involving 2,500 creatives globally. The program was recognised in Fast Company’s round up of the ten most innovative brands in 2021.
As the agency continues to grow, it is recruiting for another two roles to work predominantly on the Converse account, alongside four more new roles.
Magnum & Co’s current clients include Converse, Goodman Fielder, RSPCA NSW, GoDaddy, Peters Ice Cream, Pizza Hut, Square Enix, Arcadian Organic and Homeloans.com.au.
