Married At First Sight hands Nine another win

Nine’s Married At First Sight continued its domination on Wednesday night, handing the network another TV ratings win and taking out the spot as most-watched for the night.

1.047m metro viewers tuned in for the episode and 1.398m nationally, beating Ten’s Australian Survivor: All Stars (599,000 metro and 779,000 national) and Seven’s My Kitchen Rules (412,000 metro and 661,000 national) in the same timeslot.

The show also topped all three of the key advertising demographics – 16-39s, 18-49s and 25-54s – followed by Australian Survivor and Nine News.

It was a good night for ABC too – 7.30 delivered 574,000 metro and 821,000 national viewers, Hard Quiz 573,000 and 822,000 and Shaun Micallef’s Mad As Hell 565,000 and 787,000.

Seven News drew 927,000 metro viewers and 1.426m national viewers, making it the most-watched nationally, followed by Nine News with 865,000 and 1.126m nationally. ABC News brought in 688,000 and 997,000.

Nine’s Doctor Doctor also won its slot with 516,000 metro and 754,000 national viewers, while Seven’s First Dates delivered 351,000 and 485,000 and Ten’s Bull brought in 227,000 and 323,000.

Nine sat on a winning audience share of 24.7% and a network share of 31.9%, while Seven held 17.3% and 24.8%. Ten slipped in just ahead of the ABC with 12.5% and 19.4%, compared to 11.7% and 17.0% for the public broadcaster. SBS held 4.0% and 6.9% and the most-watched multi-channel was 10 Bold on 4.1%.
