Masterchef’s Whyalla wipeout

Some Masterchef viewers were served a helping of legal drama Law and Order midway through last night’s episode with technical gremlins disrupting the program in parts of South Australia.

The problem affected viewers watching the show on Ten’s regional affiliate Southern Cross Television.

As contestants battled away in the kitchen, the action mysteriously switched to the courtrooms of the US, causing viewers in Whyalla and elsewhere in regional South Australia to miss a section of the cooking program.

One viewer in Whyalla tweeted Southern Cross Austereo saying: “Good job tonight screwing up the #masterchef broadcast order”.

A spokesman for SCA blamed a “technical issue which temporarily interrupted the feed of MasterChef in the Spencer Gulf Region”.

“The team corrected it as soon as possible and then the episode finished to conclusion,” the spokesperson added.
