MasterChef tops primetime entertainment while Seven takes Thursday

Ten’s MasterChef has taken out the top spot for primetime entertainment on Thursday night with 513,000 metro viewers and winning key advertising demo, 18-49s, and 25-54s, however it was the Seven network which celebrated an overall network share win. 

Next up in entertainment was Home and Away on Seven, bringing in 473,000 metro viewers, followed by The Project 7pm on Ten with 373,000 metro viewers.

In the latest Daily Consolidated Total TV Report for 12 May Seven News topped the list with 1.532 million Total TV viewers, including 35,000 viewers on BVOD with an uplift of 3%. The program with the highest uplift was Holding on SBS, with an uplift of 139%, viewed by a total of 304,000 national viewers.

Next in entertainment on Thursday was a late episode of Seven’s Home and Away, with 412,000, while Thursday night’s NRL game had an average metro audience of 309,000.

Overall, Seven News topped programming with 966,000 metro viewers, followed by Seven News at 6.30 with 907,000 metro viewers. Nine News was next with 797,000 metro viewers, then Nine News at 6:30 with 744,000 metro viewers. ABC News brought in 629,000 metro viewers and Nine’s A Current Affair had 569,000 metro viewers. ABC’s 7:30 followed with 508,000 metro viewers.

As mentioned above, Seven won overall share for the evening with 28.1%, followed by Nine network share of 24.5%. Next was the ABC, with a share of 19.2%, while Ten finished with 18.8% share.
