Matt Sallis replaces Grace Liu as CEO of IPG Mediabrands’ Reprise Australia

IPG Mediabrands has announced that Matt Sallis will replace Grace Liu as CEO of its performance agency Reprise.

Sallis, who is currently managing director of accounts and performance at Reprise’s Canada outpost, will join the business in early April following Liu’s resignation and exit.

Liu served in the role for two years, joining from Dentsu Aegis Network’s Isobar China, where she was also CEO.

Sallis will start in April

Spending three years at Reprise Canada, Sallis previously spent seven years with Group M in Canada. The new role marks a return home for Sallis, who was born in Australia, grew up in New Zealand, and built his career in Canada.

“Matt has impressed Reprise’s international management with his vision and initiatives for the future,” said IPG Mediabrands’ APAC CEO Leigh Terry, who is acting as local CEO until Mark Coad begins in the role.

“In discussions with Matt over time, I share the enthusiasm for his leadership and am delighted he will be the new CEO of our Australia business.”

With more than 140 staff, and offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Brisbane and Perth, Reprise works underneath the IPG Mediabrands umbrella but also has independent clients including Monash University, Discovery Parks, Real Insurance and the South Australian government. In December, it won the pitch for Officeworks’ e-commerce account.

“It is a rare opportunity to lead a business of such quality as Reprise Australia,” Sallis said of the new role.

“The agency’s seamless integration with the wider national Mediabrands group, as well as its independent clients, is a great platform and I am truly looking forward to leading and contributing to the business.”
