Maxus makes five hires

GroupM media agency Maxus has announced five new hires to bolster its search, digital and technology offerings.

The announcement:

Maxus Australia has boosted its digital offering with the addition of 5 new hires in search, digital and technology. The new recruits are Matt Nunney, Olly Dutton, Alex Wong, Daniel Treacy and Justine Mills.

CEO David Gaines said ‘Since we launched Maxus, we have made sure that digital is integrated into all planning/trading roles. That’s essential for a modern media product. We’ve now grown to a point where we need specialists in building solutions; coders, software developers and experts with advanced acquisition and measurement credentials.’

Matt Nunney has joined from London agency Agenda 21 as Head of ANZ search to drive forward the Maxus Search Smart product across Australia. His first move was to hire Ikon’s Olly Dutton who is responsible for developing search strategy and implementing new searchtechnologies.

Alex Wong, previously at MPG, has been employed as a Performance and Technology Specialist working specifically on technology advantages for travel and automotive brands. Daniel Treacy joins as an Application Specialist to ensure that Maxus can follow through on the tangible delivery of innovative ideas. Tom Kelshaw, Head of Digital for Maxus Australia said ‘Coders are the new traders. We need to be able to build useful tools for customers and clients, along with building relationships with media.’

Maxus have also hired Justine Mills from ACP Digital as Victorian Digital Director, to lead digital strategy on national and Melbourne-focused clients.
