The release:

McCann Australia has announced the appointment of top creatives Alex Wadelton and Andy Jones to the role of Associate Creative Directors of the Melbourne office.

Jones joins the agency from AJF Melbourne where he was Creative Director across clients including Lion and Holden. Wadelton joins McCann after creating The World’s First Crowd Sourced 3D Printed QR Code, Live Streamed Via Go Pro To A Smart Phone Or Tablet Device, Drone Delivery Ticket System Project, One Buck One Pluck, and numerous campaigns for the AFL.

The duo joins recently appointed Creative Director David Ponce de Leon and Digital Director Tony Prysten in a growing creative line-up led by Executive Creative Director Pat Baron.

Also joining the McCann creative department are talented young guns, including Jess Gunn, Katherine Parker, Heui Yin, Jack Railton-Woodcock and Matt Brown.

The appointments come hot on the heels of McCann’s win of the AGL Energy business and another strong showing in the latest Gunn Report.

McCann Executive Creative Director Pat Baron said: “We couldn’t be happier to have these ridiculously brilliant and equally nice fellows joining us. They are all talent and no ego, which is refreshing as between them they’ve won every major award in the world. To add their creative leadership to our growing creative department is very exciting for us.”

McCann Managing Director Adrian Mills added: “It’s been a pretty good start to the year. Jonesy and Alex are the kind of people that people like to work with. They’ve come in and had an immediate impact and we expect to see some great work from them over the next few months.”
