McCann appoint Roshni Hegerman as senior planner

McCann Australia has appointed Roshni Hegerman as senior planner.

The announcement:

McCann Australia has strengthened its planning department with the appointment of Roshni Hegerman as Senior Planner, based in Sydney.

American-born Hegerman’s most recent role was Planning Director at BBDO India, across clients including Pepsico, HP, Wrigley’s, SC Johnson, HP and Aviva. Prior to BBDO, she was Regional Planning Director at BBH India and has spent time at Saatchi & Saatchi China and Los Angeles, 72 & Sunny in Los Angeles and BBDO Chicago.

Hegerman joins McCann after a key period of growth for the agency, with recent wins including Valvoline, Nespresso, Universities Australia and CSG Communication. She will be working across all key Sydney clients, including CPW, Coca-Cola and MasterCard.

Hegerman’s appointment also follows another stellar performance at the Cannes Festival of Creativity, where McCann Australia’s Lions haul included the prestigious Creative Effectiveness Grand Prix for V/Line’s Guilt Trips campaign. McCann Australia has collected a total of 6 Grands Prix and more than 30 Lions over the past two years.

The agency was also named the most effective agency in Melbourne and third most effective agency in Australia in the Effie Effectiveness Index, released this week.

Hegerman will report to National Planning Director Karl Bates.

“Roshni’s appointment is a key part of McCann’s commitment to continuously push our strategic planning capabilities to a new level,” Bates said. “In making this appointment, we looked for someone with international experience, a hunger for crazy adventures and an expectation to do nothing but quality work. In Roshni, we found all that and more.”

Said Hegerman: “It’s an incredibly exciting time to be joining McCann Australia, when the agency is breaking records around the world through its strong commitment to creativity and effectiveness across every client and every piece of work. I’m thrilled to be part the team.”
