McCormick Foods appoint Hard Hat Digital

Independent digital agency Hard Hat has won the digital account for McCormick Foods Australia.  

The announcements:

Hard Hat Digital has won the digital business of McCORMICK Foods Australia, which includes iconic brands McCormick, Keen’s Curry, Keen’s Mustard and Aeroplane Jelly.

Whilst Hard Hat has been engaged on a campaign level since 2008, McCORMICK awarded the Melbourne agency its full digital account following a competitive pitch.

Hard Hat Digital’s Daniel Monheit sees this an exciting new chapter in the agency’s efforts to elevate digital’s status in an industry still focused on traditional media: “McCORMICK has shown real leadership in pursuing digital as more than just an auxiliary element, the poor cousin of print and TV. They have rightly recognised that digital is the way forward, and offers incredible opportunities for direct and quality audience engagement.”

The move follows a major shift in thinking within McCORMICK. It will focus much more of its marketing strategy around digital campaigns and executions which will fuel brand exposure and consumer engagement across multiple online channels.

Virginia Pullman, Senior Brand Manager at McCORMICK believes: “that the company’s shift in emphasis on digital marketing will be noted by consumers and will build connection and involvement with our key brands”.
