MCM Media appoints Jay Walkerden

MCM Media has drafted Jay Walkerden into the role of group programming director.

The announcement:

Leading independent production company mcm media has further bolstered its radio offering with the appointment of Jay Walkerden to the newly created role of Group Programming Director.

Walkerden, who worked across a range of roles at Austereo for 10 years, is returning from the UK where he worked at Gcap Media as Programming Director.

Walkerden will lead mcm media’s radio offering across high-profile radio properties such as Take 40 Australia®, My Generation®, The Jono & Dano Show and The Hot Hits® Live from LA. Product innovation will be a key part of the role to ensure mcm continues to deliver unique, in demand radio.

Walkerden starts at mcm media in September and will be based in Sydney.
