Sam Thompson joins MCM Media in new content role

MCM Media has created a new role – group content director role – which has been filled by Sam Thompson from DMG Radio.

The announcement:

MCM Media has today announced the appointment of Sam Thompson to the newly created role of Group Content Director, reaffirming the company’s commitment to producing leading multi-platform entertainment content for its radio, digital and television partners.

Sam joins MCM Media from DMG Radio (Australia) where she spent eight years, commencing as Group Promotions and Marketing Director and two years later moving to General Manager of Melbourne stations Nova 100 and 91.5FM. Her impressive media career spans over 20 years, originating at Austereo in integration and content, and has seen her work all over the country.

With extensive experience in management, marketing, programming, PR and integration roles, and a passion for innovative, results-driven media enterprises, Sam is well positioned to thrive in her new role at MCM Media. Based in Melbourne, she will report to MCM Entertainment Group CEO Simon Joyce and will lead the Radio, TV & Events, Digital, Affiliate Relations and Content Acquisition teams.
