Media group buying site Lilbirdie opens up to media buyers
Lilbirdie, the group buying site for media deals that launched in February, has opened up its service for media buyers.
The service was initially available only for advertisers to buy directly, but demand from media agencies has prompted a broadening of the offer, founder and marketing director Samantha Tannous told Mumbrella.
“We do not see ourselves as a replacement for media buyers,” she said, adding that media buys would include commission.
So far, media deals have included cinema, digital screens in convenience stores, branded napkins in food courts, bicycle advertising, hot air balloons, direct mail, telemarketing, websites and Chinese language newspapers.
