MediaCom leads Aussie finalists at Festival of Media Asia

Australia looks likely to collect a decent haul of awards at the Festival of Media Asia Awards 2011 in Singapore – with 31 shortlisted entries.

MediaCom leads the pack with nine finalists – for Skoda, Gillette Mach 3, Alienware, Superdry, Dell, Carlton United Brewers, KFC and Carnival Australia.

OMD has the second highest number of shortlisted entries – seven – for Wrigley 5 gum, Clinique, Visa, Johnson’s Baby, Telstra.

UM has five – for Lynx, Coca-Cola, Microsoft and Meat & Livestock Australia.

Technology marketing agency Tigerspike was the only Australian non-media agency to make the list, with an entry for Woolworths.

Starcom Melbourne has three shortlisted entries for Mars and Whiskas, as does Publicis Groupe sibling Zenith Optimedia – all for NAB.

Ikon has two – both for Commonwealth Bank. Naked Communications has one finalist – for the Transport Accident Commission.

The Festival of Media Asia Awards are scheduled for 13-15 November at the Marina Bay Sands Hotel in Singapore.
