MediaCom promotes Bryan Magee to digital head of implementation planning & investment

MediaComm has promoted Bryan Magee to digital head of implementation planning and investment, replacing John Miskelly who moves to head of digital at Group M.

The announcement:

MediaCom announces the promotion of Bryan Magee to Digital Head of Implementation Planning & Investment as John Miskelly moves to GroupM.

He will report to Paul Brooks MediaCom’s Chief Investment Officer, who said of the appointment.

“I am delighted to announce the promotion of Bryan, he has had an impressive 2 years since joining MediaCom and I look forward to seeing his drive, passion and commitment in a broader role. Bryan has a passion for the future and in previous roles has lead the charge in how clients should invest in new and emerging platforms.

Bryan said of his appointment ‘’John is leaving behind a great department which I’m really excited about leading. We have a fantastic team in place working with some of the best brands in Australia. I’m looking forward to the new challenge and developing our product even further.”

Bryan replaces John Miskelly who moves to Head of Digital at GroupM. Following 5 years leading and shaping the digital product that MediaCom take to market John takes the opportunity to continue his ascendency with a broader remit across the 4 GroupM agencies.

John said “It is with a heavy heart I move on from MediaCom but the chance to work across the wider group and with Danny is truly an exciting and fantastic opportunity.  I look forward to working with the other agencies and our publisher partners to preserve and grow GroupM’s digital product as best in class.”

Danny Bass commented “ John has one of thefinest digital minds in the APAC region.  He brings a truly unique skill set to the role, that will only add to the extremely strong digital leadership team we haven place across the group.“

Bryan and John will work closely together in their new roles. Brooks said that the ability to promote within, whether in MediaCom or within the group is a critical part of our people and development strategy and what sets us apart from the competition.

The promotions will take effect on 1st October 2013.
