Medical Media appoints new COO, Alexis Rouch

Medical Media – which provides advertising in doctors’ waiting rooms and health clinics – has announced Alexis Rouch as its new COO.

Rouch replaces the company’s founder

The company, previously known as Medical Channel, was founded by Garry Fahey in 2012, who has been acting in the COO role. Fahey will now depart the business.

CEO of Medical Media Nazar Musa said the business  had very specific needs for the role.

“The founder of the business [Fahey] was acting COO and he was always due to leave the business after a specific period. We needed to find a COO that could take the organisation through the next level of growth and with experience that would fit nicely alongside that of other senior executives. This hire was slightly unique because we needed a technically focused COO – almost a hybrid CTO/COO – and the background Alexis has truly fit this need of ours,” he said.

“Alexis has a wealth of experience in managing change and growth in all aspects of the general operations of a business, as well as specific expertise in technical operations. This will be vital for us.”

Rouch has spent time as the director of IT at AMP, director of CoSoft Consulting and general manager of business technology at WorkSafe Victoria.

She said her experience made her well equipped for the upcoming challenges at Medical Media.

“If I’ve learnt anything in my previous roles, it is to make the most of the people around you and to automate everything, as this ensures you can support operational excellence as you grow, keeps you nimble, and it also helps future-proof your business as much as possible if done in the right way. I’ve worked in a range of different industries, and they’re all getting disrupted by rapid technology innovation and we need to continue to evolve to keep pace with our customers’ expectations.”
