Melbourne creative agency Town Square has been appointed by hotel chain Hilton to provide brand and communications services to its Qatar-based resort.

Town Square will undertake a review of Hilton Salwa Beach Resort and Villas’ positioning and communications strategy.

The resort, which opened in 2021, will be relaunched following the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

The relaunch aims to reopen the hotel back to the world, after Qatar had limited entry into the country solely to World Cup ticket holders during the competition.

“We are delighted to have been appointed by Hilton for the Salwa Beach Resort and Villas and look forward to sharing all that this premium, luxury destination has to offer across key markets around the world,” World Square founder and director Danielle Moeller said.

“Travel and tourism marketing is in Town Square’s DNA. This appointment, our proven experience of partnering with Hilton brands and deep understanding of high value travel purchase categories, recognises that expertise, and we can’t wait to deliver on our exciting plans.”

Town Square was selected for its history with Hilton, previously working on the chain’s Tapestry and Curio Collection branded hotels, as well as the soon to be launched Waldorf Astoria in the US.

The agency also has Qatar Airways, Qatar Tourism and Discover Qatar as some of its existing clients, as well as Aussie customers like The Ghan & Indian Pacific, Melbourne Skydeck and Cruise Whitsundays.

The Hilton Salwa is located in Qatar’s southwest coastline, featuring 3.5 kilometres of private beachfront, hotel rooms, suites and private beachfront villas, a spa, marina, conference and events centre, sports centre, water and adventure park and a range of restaurants.
