Melbourne Queer Film Festival, city’s second biggest
According to Melbourne Queer Film Festival director Lisa Daniel, the event has become the second biggest film festival in Melbourne, with a 10 percent increase in box office in 2010.
The festival screened more than 150 films over 12 days, with the Argentinean Plan B winning the Audience Award for Best picture.
Edie and Thea: A Very Long Engagement won the Audience Award for Best Documentary. The award for Emerging Filmmaker / Best Australian Short went to Kim Farrant and Bombshell, while Best Short went to Fresh Air Theraphy by Christoph Scheermann.
Having read about Bombshell, winner of the Best Australian short at MQFF, I am curious as to how it can now be seen. Where might I obtain information about any future screenings, etc.? Regards, John.
