Melbourne Queer Film Festival, city’s second biggest

Plan BAccording to Melbourne Queer Film Festival director Lisa Daniel, the event has become the second biggest film festival in Melbourne, with a 10 percent increase in box office in 2010.

The festival screened more than 150 films over 12 days, with the Argentinean Plan B winning the Audience Award for Best picture.

Edie and Thea: A Very Long Engagement won the Audience Award for Best Documentary. The award for Emerging Filmmaker / Best Australian Short went to Kim Farrant and Bombshell, while Best Short went to Fresh Air Theraphy by Christoph Scheermann.
