Australian Radio Network’s Gold has tied for the lead position for FM stations in the Monday to Sunday radio ratings figures with Southern Cross Austero’s Triple M.

The two stations claimed an audience share of 7.9, with Gold boosting its share by 1.1 share points, while FoxFM maintained its Monday to Sunday share of 6.9. SmoothFM increased its share by 0.5 share points to sit on a share of 7.4, while Nova posted a decline of 0.4 share points to a share of 6.3.

In the Monday to Friday numbers, TripleM claimed victory for the FM stations with a share of 8.2, just ahead of Gold’s share of 8.

Triple M also extended its lead in the breakfast timeslot, with the Hot Breakfast team of Eddie McGuire, Luke Darcy and Mick Molloy holding onto the FM ratings crown with a share of 9.2

Gold’s Brig and Lehmo boosted their share by 0.9 share points to tie for second place with Nova’s Meshel and Tommy.

KiisFM’s breakfast duo Jane Hall and Matt Tilley increased their share by 0.2 points to an audience share of 5.9, after posting a decline of 1.1 share points in the previous survey.

FoxFM’s breakfast duo of Fifi Box and Dave Thornton saw their share continue to decline, posting a share of 5.8, down from 5.9 in survey two.

In drive, FoxFM is more fortunate with a share of 8.4, holding onto the number one FM spot despite a decline of 0.5 share points.

Kiis101.1’s Dave Hughes and Kate Langbroek came in at second place with a share of 8.3, while Triple M’s Rush Hour (3pm-5pm) and Merrick (Watts) and Australia (5pm-7pm) programming boosting their share by 1.1 share points to a total share of 8 per cent.

In the AM heap, despite a decline of 1.7 share points Fairfax Radio’s 3AW won overall with a Monday to Sunday share of 14.7, while ABC 774 settled for second place with a share of 11.5.

In breakfast, 3AW’s breakfast team of Ross and John won the overall breakfast crown with a  share of 19, down from the last survey’s share of 20.1. ABC774 continued to slip behind with a share of 14.1.

However, in the morning timeslot (9am – 12pm), ABC774’s Mornings with Jon Faine claimed victory with a share of 15, an increase of 2.6 share points, as 3AW’s Neil Mitchell posted a share of 12.7, a decrease of 4.1 share points.

In drive, 3AW continued to see declines but still managed to finish on top with a share of 11.8, down by 0.7 share points. ABC774 boosted its share by 1.1 points to a total share of 9.6.
