Movie Network commissions $13m family thriller series

Circa Entertainment will produce a 12-part family action thriller multi-platform series for the pay TV FMC channel, Conspiracy 365, based on the  Gabrielle Lord novels.

Conspiracy 365 can be enjoyed by the whole family as it works as an action thriller, a mystery, a historical romance and a rites of passage tale as a young man comes into his full inheritance,” said executive producer Linda Klejus.

The series – about a year in the life of teen fugitive, Cal Ormond searching for the truth about his family’s secret – will be shot in Melbourne in June, and will air as 12 one-hour monthlyl instalments. It will be 100 percent funded by Movie Network, with a budget exceeding $13m.

The multi-platform strategy will be executed by Hoodlum Entertainment.

Conspiracy 365 will be accompanied by an extensive multi-platform content strategy using interactive and stimulating game play; making it one of the first projects of its kind to be undertaken by any Australian broadcaster,” said Peter Jenetsky, general manager for content strategy and marketing at the Movie Network Channels.
