Melbourne’s Lord Mayor to fill in for 3AW Drive
Fairfax-owned Melbourne talk station 3AW 693 will replace its Drive show host with the city’s Lord Mayor Robert Doyle next week as presenter Tom Elliott takes a break.
Although it has been “a few years” since Doyle has hosted the show, it won’t be his first time.
Doyle’s time on Drive, from Monday to Friday between 3pm and 6pm next week coincides with a break in the commercial radio ratings survey schedule.
In the latest Nielsen radio ratings Elliott’s Drive show share rose from 11 to 11.6 per cent.
Elliott began hosting the Drive show at the start of the year after previous host Derryn Hinch was sacked.
Shane Healy, GM of 3AW, said Hughes would his fee to five different charities.
And secondly. Would Fairfax be considered as one of the charities?
