Menulog keeps its NRL star-studded remix rolling in for State of Origin II

As the State of Origin series heads into game two, the Menulog jingle remix has kicked up into a new gear.

The jingle, reinvented by Snoop Dogg earlier in the year, was covered by famous NRL players in celebration of game one, with an Australian spin placed on the track with references to sausage sizzles and meat pies.

From McCann Sydney, the second version of the remix features NSW Blues head coach Brad Fittler, broadcaster Erin Molan, and players Jake and Tom Trbojevic.

The second remix will go live tonight during the broadcast of game two on Nine. It will also launch on social and digital.

Menulog is an official broadcast partner of the State of Origin, and the latest campaign expands on the brand’s relationship with NRL team, the South Sydney Rabbitohs. As well as its launch during game one, a 15 second teaser of the Menulog remix was aired during the NRL Grand Final on 25 October.

Menulog CMO, Simon Cheng, said: “The chips fell in Queensland’s favour last week, but we were there for all Australians, no matter the side. We’re excited to be a part of another history-making game with the next release of our ‘Did Somebody Say’ remix with Snoop, which welcomes a host of home-grown sporting legends.

“As the Official Broadcast Partner, our mission was to keep viewers entertained and glued to their seats, particularly in a year where many of us are watching from home. We had a resoundingly positive response to our first TVC, which aired ahead of game one and so we’re excited to see what Aussies think of the next iteration.”
