Merkle names Simon Doukas as first chief experience officer

Dentsu’s customer experience management company, Merkle, has appointed Simon Doukas to the newly created role of chief experience officer. The role will commence at the end of August.

As a founding member of PwC’s experience consulting practice, Doukas has spent over a decade with the firm and worked with a range of companies including Telstra, NAB, Australia Post, BHP, ANZ and Coles. He is also an active advisory board member and mentor to a number of impact-led ventures helping humanity achieve the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals by 2030.

With his specialty in experience-led innovations and transformation, Doukas will lead the strategy, design and commerce teams at Merkle.

The appointment follows the earlier announcements of Steve Yurisich as chief growth officer, and John Riccio as CEO, Merkle ANZ and president, Merkle APAC, with further appointments to come.
