A message to the architects of our digital world
If you only watch one video of a poet smoothly picking out the foibles and pitfalls of the digital world as we know it today, make it this one with Max Stossel.
Created for the Time Well Spent movement the video perfectly sums up the iron grip digital media channels have on many people, from dancing Pandas to Netflix autoplay and why Facebook hides Likes.
Time Well Spent is a movement to connect technology with humanity, in a bid to stop it from merely catering to our most base desires.
And yes, Dr Mumbo is aware of the irony of posting a video embedded from Facebook on a digital news site.
A very nice point raised.
FairBnB is taking a similar stance

Imagine if you could order a taxi (think uber), however you knew that you will get a cheaper fare than you would with uber AND you know the driver gets paid more than what uber pays and it is because the people in the middle are taking a far smaller cut than uber AND giving money to good causes, which are voted on by users and drivers…
Politicians do seem to spend our tax dollars on their own benefits (mates); don’t they? Could ethical businesses rise and lead the charge in helping the greater good of our communities and overall society?
