#MeToo campaign group Now Australia call for agency help
New not-for-profit organisation Now Australia is seeking pro-bono help from PR and creative agencies who “care about the #MeToo movement”.
Now Australia, an organisation working to end sexual harassment and assault in the workplace, says it is looking for agencies to spare any amount of time they can.
The new organisation was launched in March following the global #MeToo movement.
The roster of volunteer agencies will be coordinated by PR agency Fifty Acres.
As well as looking for PR agencies, the not-for-profit is also seeking creative agencies who able to offer their time.
Jo Scard, founder and managing director of Fifty Acres, said in a statement: “Anything from a few minutes a week to an hour or two is all we are seeking – we just need people to pitch in with a bit of time.”
In the coming months, Now Australia aims to inform the Australian Human Rights Commission’s national inquiry into sexual harassment in Australian workplaces.

Anyone else find this terrifying and sad? If this is to find out facts, great. If it is to develop means of reporting, great. If it is to develop guidelines to follow, great. If this is to accuse, horrifying. Right now two high profile trials by media cases are taking place based on dubious research by reporters. Trial by media to make money or destroy human beings and their lives is wrong. Remember they have families also. Old allegations should not be brought up unless there is proof. Memories change.Too often it is she said or he said. Sexual harassment has no place in the work force. Neither does revenge. And if one is looking at this, women are not exempt from being harassers. I find it disturbing that people are getting paid to discuss the harassment and are making money off of the pain of others. This is not a game. Real people and lives are involved.
