Metricon uses Facebook and inflatables to woo footy fans
Home building brand Metricon has placed inflatable footy players in Metricon Stadium on the Gold Coast as part of an experiential campaign devised by Ooh! Media.
The Metricon Marks campaign encourages footy fans to have their photos taken while catching a footy ball next to the inflatable figures.
Footy fans who can enter two competitions using the photo of them taking a mark. The best photo each week wins the ‘Mark of the Week’ prize, with the overall winner at the end of the AFL season judged by the photo that has the most unique ‘shares’ on Facebook. The winner gets a barbeque with players from the Gold Coast Suns in a Metricon home.
I thought this was against Facebook rules?

It’s based on “Shares” not “Likes” but either is technically a no-no for Facebook promos.
